Antigua is located in the eastern Caribbean Sea just 650 km southeast of Puerto Rico. The open Atlantic Ocean lies to the north and east. Let the Games Begin

Old Road Community, special guests, members of government including Governor General Rodney Williams, Prime Minister Gaston Browne, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon Charles Fernandez, Minister of Social Transformation Hon. Samantha Marshall, and Senator Colin James, and scores of youth turned out for the handover ceremony of the Old Road Sports complex.
This event marked the fulfilment of Callaloo Cay’s promise to stay involved in the community through sports and youth development. The newly refurbished tennis, basketball, and netball courts were put to full use.
All complimented the initiative and envisioned the Old Road Community soon becoming a leader and hub for sporting activities on the island.

Beach Clean Up

Recently, members of the community came together to improve the aesthetic of the area by cleaning the Morris Bay beach. PM Gaston Browne, and FM Charles Max Fernandez participated in the effort as well. Callaloo Cay is leading the way in preserving, protecting, and embracing the natural environment while at the same time encouraging community participation; Camaraderie, teamwork and a feeling of pride for a job well done marked the day.

EIS

Ivor Jackson has conducted a comprehensive Environmental Impact Study (EIS) along with other consultants including geotechnical engineers, beach & coastal specialists and marine biologists. The development team is now adjusting their plans to accommodate the environmental sensitivities and to resolve some of the existing problems inherent on the site.

A modern Sports complex forms a part of the community development goals of the Callaloo Cay luxury resort.
Construction on first phase commenced for basketball, tennis, and netball courts along with the installation of fencing, lighting and proper drainage.
